Camp Instructors

Our School Day Off Camp Instructors lead one-day camps for kids in grades K-6. We’ll give you the curriculum, and you’ll put it into action!

We’re looking for candidates who have experience working with kids in camp or club programs, K-12 education or any other youth mentoring role.

We’re particularly interested in capable public speakers, as well as those who can think on their feet, can adapt to their students’ learning styles and love teaching STEM topics in a hands-on way.

 

​Three shift types are possible, depending on the camp schedule.

  • All Day (includes 30 minute lunch break): 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

  • Mornings: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

  • Afternoons: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

​School Day Off Camp Instructor—Now hiring!
(Ages 16+) 
Seasonal position from October 2026 to March 2027
Camp Dates are as follows: 10/30, 11/25, 12/21, 12/22, 12/31, 1/18, 2/15 and Spring Break Week (3/22-3/26). 
​

Our instructors lead one-day camps. We’ll give you the curriculum, and you’ll put it into action!

​

Duties include:

​

  • Presenting lessons in a fun, engaging way

  • Managing a class (transitioning between activities, keeping the class on task, enforcing behavior expectations)

  • Effectively working with other instructors and camp counselors

  • Setting up materials before each session and cleaning up at the end

  • Assisting with camper check-in, lunch and check-out

  • Cleaning up the facility

  • Completing tasks as assigned by camp director 

  • The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor (when weather permits) activities

 

We’d love if you have some familiarity with the following: Scratch or other block-based code languages, LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, Micro:bit and 3D Printing and CAD. But it’s not necessary—we can teach you what you need to know. Check out our School Day Off Camp topics here.
